Free community event that showcases artists with autism!
The Autism Treatment Center (ATC), in partnership with The Shops at La Cantera (TSLC), invites the community to celebrate the creativity of individuals with autism at “Art for Autism 2025,” 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, May 10.
New and emerging artists with autism can sell original works of art at a special pop-up market on Main Street at The Shops at La Cantera. This unique event showcases a variety of art mediums created by artists of all ages and abilities on the autism spectrum.
“Art for Autism not only brings together our autistic community for a fun event, but it also provides an opportunity for the artists to work on specific skills while validating their artistic efforts,” says Sarah Fowler Lawless, ATC’s Development Director. “We enjoy hosting this event every year and are grateful to The Shops at La Cantera for providing such a lovely space for it.”
“These artists deserve the respect and attention they receive for their work at Art for Autism. We are proud and humbled to host it for the third year,” says Brian Schroeder, senior general manager of The Shops at La Cantera.
Art for Autism is open to the public and free for the artists who participate, with the goal of helping them become more independent and successful members of the community. Art for Autism not only highlights the diverse talents of these artists but also fosters their enterprising spirit and independence.
All artwork sales directly benefit the artists. This event wouldn’t be possible without sponsors. Event sponsorship opportunities are available, starting at $150 per booth. To sponsor, register an artist, or sign up to volunteer, visit atcoftexas.org/artforautism or contact Sarah Fowler Lawless at sfowler@atcoftexas.org.
