Understanding TEFA: School Discovery Network Bilingual Town Hall
School Discovery Network to host bilingual Public Town Hall Series to facilitate conversation about the Texas Education Freedom Account program, which delivers up to $30,000 annually to cover costs associated with private schooling, homeschool and supportive services.
Now with applications due soon, School Discovery Network (formerly San Antonio Charter Moms) wants to ensure local families understand how TEFA could help their students and how to apply before the March 17 deadline for the 2026-27 school year.
English and Spanish-speaking parents can get complicated TEFA questions answered in their native tongue at these town halls, and bilingual staff will be on hand to assist with applications. No TEFA topic is off the table during the Town Hall’s question and answer period, and all information will be available in both Spanish and English, as are all of SDN’s many school-search resources.
