Coastal Cleanup Day
Join us on Saturday, September 20th from 9:00AM-12:00PM for the annual California Coastal Clean-up Day! This is the biggest statewide cleanup event of the year in partnership with the California Coastal Commission. This year’s theme is “Trashure Hunt” and both Putah Creek Council sites will have a treasure chest hidden on the trails for a lucky winner to find and receive a prize!
Putah Creek Council will supply all necessary materials such as trash bags, gloves, water, snacks, and a limited number of trash grabbers. All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please come prepared with sturdy, close-toed shoes and a reusable water bottle.
PCC will have a targeted clean-up at Putah Creek Nature Park in Winters and a “Hike and Clean” at the Old Davis Road Trailhead at the UC Davis Riparian Reserve. Please be sure to choose the correct site below when signing up for the event. Registration is highly encouraged but not required. All volunteers will need to sign a waiver, and those under the age of 18 will need a guardian’s signature.
