The Pence Joins Yolo Fest This Spring! The Pence Gallery, a unique nonprofit art gallery highlighting local & regional artists, is participating in the county-wide Yolo Fest this spring. From March 27-29, 2026, Yolo Fest celebrates the region’s agriculture, music, arts, culture, farm-to-table food, craft beverages, recreation, and local hospitality. The Pence Gallery in Davis will be open with three spectacular art exhibits from 11:30 AM - 5 PM, and admission is free to view these displays by these visual artists: Manuel Fernando Rios: When They Reminisce Over You February 7 - March 29 In his exhibit, Rios shares his interest in themes that explore his Chicano heritage, as well as his family’s history and experiences. Blurring the line between naturalism and abstraction, the artist embraces the use of complex design patterns, photography, and text to make a powerful statement. Assorted Flavors: Pence Member Exhibit March 13 - April 16 View 40 works of art created by Pence Members in this widely ranging annual display of paintings, photographs, textiles, and more. Barbara Prodaniuk: Myths in Mud March 13 - April 26 Prodaniuk is a ceramic artist whose work is inspired by the forest, meadows, and waterways of the Truckee area. She explores stories carried by the animals and artifacts found in these environments. Special Weekend Activities Self-guided Scavenger Hunt: March 28-29, 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM Free to participate! Join us for a fun, art-themed scavenger hunt at the gallery by exploring the Pence’s exhibits. Complete all of the clues for the chance to be entered in a raffle to win a $25 gift certificate to the Pence gift store! A raffle winner will be selected and contacted at 4:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Printmaking for All Ages Sunday, March 29, 1-3 PM $5 Members | $10 Non-Members (per person, all materials included) In this workshop, printmaking is made easy! Learn how to create bold and colorful block prints using a Styrofoam plate, printmaking ink, and a few simple tricks and techniques. This is a drop-in program for all ages, and no sign-ups are required in advance. Children ages 5 and up may participate if they are accompanied by an adult.
