The John Natsoulas Gallery is pleased to announce that, coinciding with Women’s History Month, we will be hosting an exhibition entitled Working Through It: Women and Their Art. This exceptional exhibit will showcase how women have and continue to develop unique artistic visions that derive from the social, political, and cultural experiences that are specific to their lives as women. Despite the challenges and obstacles that many of these women faced and continue to face due to gender discrimination, their work is a testament to the perseverance and talent they all possess. This exhibition and the accompanying publication will contribute to the recognition of many of these outstanding artists. This international exhibition, featuring the work of artists from ten countries, will highlight the important contributions women have made around the world. his exhibit offers a historic and contemporary survey of many of the most important women artists who have broken major ground in their fields over the years. Don’t miss this unique exhibition featuring work of over 40 incredible artists open from March 5 - April 5, 2025.
The opening reception for the exhibition will be on Saturday March 8 from 5:00 - 8:00pm. There will be refreshments and live music, performed by Amataza la Reina and Fani. Beforehand, at 3:00pm, the artists Pat Mahony, Michelle Gregor, and Lisa Reinertson will participate in a panel discussion moderated by writer Sarah Poisner. At 4:00pm John Natsoulas, the curator, will be in conversation with artist Inez Storer.
