Discover Canandaigua
On Saturday, September 28th, Downtown Canandaigua will host its First Annual Discover Canandaigua on Main Street from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This free family-friendly event showcases multiple nonprofit organizations in our community with interactive experiences at each booth.
The creation of this highly anticipated event came from two anchor community organizations, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, coming together to throw the community a party. Main Street will be lined with local nonprofit organizations, engaging guests in fun, interactive games and activities for all ages.
Maxion Stage in the Commons Park will be hosted by the Kiwanis Club, providing children’s entertainment with live music by the Corning NY Trio Doc Possum, and games, such as a blow-up arcade game with prizes. In addition, event-goers will enjoy shows from special guests including a magician, bubble guy, and balloon artist. The Rotary Club will host Boogie Shoes on Rotary Stage at The Central on Main. Boogie Shoes is Upstate New York's newest premier 10-piece Disco Tribute Band, guaranteed to get people on their feet dancing.
Stroll in and out of participating local businesses, as they have specials and deals throughout their shops during Discover Canandaigua. As you roam the sidewalks, you’ll be greeted by multiple popular characters with whom you’ll surely want your photo.
