Mark Sample History Lecture: 1968 Election

*Registration is open* 1968 was an important election regarding the future of the United States. Our nation had been involved in a conflict with Vietnam for years with no end in sight. People had lost faith in President Johnson. The direction of the Civil Rights Movement also seemed uncertain with the murder of Martin Luther King, Jr. that year. Our next president might decide the path our nation would follow for the next few decades. This election is full of many interesting people: Lyndon Johnson, Hubert Humphrey, Robert Kennedy, George Wallace, and others. Come hear MCC History Professor Mark Sample as he tells the story of these men and their times.
