The Garden Within

Exhibition Dates: April 18, 2026 - May 27, 2026 Artist Reception Date: April 18, 2026 - 3:00-6:00pm Artists Included: Sara Michalak Jari Poulin The Garden Within is a two-artist invitational featuring Sara Michalak and Jari Poulin. In the early 90's Sara and Jari artistically practiced separately yet worked together for Chautauqua county's Arts in Education program working with area youth. The curator grew up in Chautauqua County, NY as a dance student of Jari Poulin-who brought with her a magnetic connection to the area's youth and affiliated dance and arts-based performances. For Sara and Jari, life's chapters continued to unfold as did their separate bodies of work and artistic questions formulated. The work in this exhibition shows several series by each artist. The work is incredibly rich, layered, and emotionally connective conveying a deep rooting with place and space. Sara and Jari invite us to step into 'The Garden Within' by seeing and sensing their journeys.
