New Exhibitions open at Main Street Arts!

Across 4 gallery spaces, 49 artist’s work inspires all ages. The exhibitions are free to visit and view through April 8, 2026. A free artist reception will be held on Saturday, March 7 from 3-6pm. In the Main Gallery, the group exhibition ‘Things Near and Dear’ opens featuring 46 artists from New York State. 'In this group exhibition, many artists explore and convey what’s important in their lives or in the lives of others. These range from tangible objects, philosophical concepts, moments borrowed from lived histories, or something beyond these “things”. Some of the work shows deep connections with places and spaces--as well as explores personal truths. Other work within the show explores the intersection of art & craft-convincingly tied to the theme. Concepts that explore rich narratives, personal or lived histories, time or place, and cultural heritage are included in this exhibition. This wide array of work by 46 New York state artists truly displays the full gamut of traditional techniques to contemporary culture and diverse, even pivotal, sub-topics within the overarching theme. (Curator: Heather Olson)” The Window Front Gallery features both dimensional installation work and sculpture work by Katie Virag (Buffalo, NY). The Stairwell Gallery features paintings and mixed-media artwork by Sarah O’Donoghue (Ithaca, NY). The Emerging Artist Gallery features paintings by Erin Corr (Rochester, NY / RIT). Main Street Arts is located at 20 W. Main Street in Clifton Springs, NY 14432 and is open Tuesday-Wednesday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., and Thursday-Saturday from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Artwork from the exhibitions can be previewed and purchased at MainStreetArtsCS.org.
