Rochester is no stranger to time-tested taverns and contemporary bars housed in historic buildings. Each of these edifices has a story to tell. What better time to hear them than during happy hour?
Storied Saloons: Local History Happy Hours explores the history of some of Rochester’s most interesting and iconic bar-boasting buildings. If you enjoy learning and libations, pull up a stool and join us as we uncover the past of a different tavern during each session of this exciting off-site series.
September Session: The Shamrock Inn
The Shamrock Inn has been serving patrons in Henrietta and beyond since 2025, but the building it occupies has deep roots. 300 Jefferson Road has hosted a number of businesses over the years, none more famous than Red Creek Inn, one of the most revered and beloved music venues to have graced the Rochester area. Join historian Emily Morry as she details the evolution of this iconic building as well as the people and performances that shaped its history.
