Fire & Ice Festival

The festival is a celebration of winter in the beautiful historic downtown business district, recently ranked one of the top 10 winter festivals to attend in 2024 in the world, by Forbes. Local chefs will compete in a friendly Chili Cook-Off from 11:00 am-3:00 pm on Saturday, while professional ice sculptors will be skillfully carving enormous ice sculptures. Festive winter-themed characters will stroll the sidewalks, while sparks fly on Maxion Stage with a World Record holder fire show by The Fire Guy, and again for his after-dark show. Have your picture taken with alpaca, watch lumber jacks compete, or take a horse-drawn wagon ride around the streets of historic downtown. Be sure to return on Sunday to admire the ice sculptures lining the streets of downtown, even lit up at night, and more festivities during the day. New this year, we will have Food Network's, Eric Jones, join us to sculpt snow into an incredible spectacle! You won’t want to miss this year’s Fire and Ice Festival in Downtown Canandaigua.
