"It's About the Hustle" art depicting Black Americans & Labor Opening Reception open to public
From unfree labor based in agriculture that is the foundation of this country, through the second industrial revolution, and into the hustle of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This exhibit is juried by Richmond-based artist Franchell Mack Brown, a 2021-2022 Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellow, and 2023-2024 resident artist at the Visual Arts Center in Richmond. Concurrently, Artspace will exhibit work curated by the Black History Museum and Culure Center of Richmond.
