Secretariat Day in Ashland
Secretariat Day festivities take place around the "Secretariat Racing Into History" bronze monument in Downtown Ashland on the campus of Randolph-Macon College at the corner of England St and Railroad Ave. .
Come enjoy live music from several groups, local vendors, exclusive Secretariat merchandise, food trucks, birthday cake, kids’ activities such as stick horse races and more. The Ashland Theatre will host the premiere of a new documentary film "Racing Home: Secretariat in Ashland," along with a free showing of the Disney movie “Secretariat. The Ashland Museum will be open to show historic Secretariat and Meadow Stable items. The event is hosted by Secretariat For Virginia, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of Secretariat in Virginia.
