Join us for an unforgettable evening of connection, inspiration and empowerment as we host an Impact Screening of the award-winning documentary Daughters. This powerful film follows the journey of four young girls as they prepare for a special Daddy Daughter Dance with their incarcerated fathers.
We are honored to welcome Sistah Angela Patton, a visionary leader in the Greater Richmond community and Chief Executive Officer of Girls For A Change, and co-director of the film. Her extraordinary work has earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious “Champions of Change” award presented by President Obama in 2016.
Following the screening, Sistah Angela will join us for a thoughtful Q&A discussion following the film, moderated by Adrienne Cole Johnson, Chief of Family and Community Engagement for Henrico County Public Schools, cofounder of The Richmond Night Market, and a celebrated recipient of Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.
Hosted by Orchard House Middle School, an independent school for girls in the heart of Richmond, this event is a celebration of the strength, courage, and determination that all girls possess. We invite you to share in this special evening honoring the power of girl storytelling and the incredible individuals working to shape a brighter future for all. This event is complimentary, however, seating is limited. Please RSVP to reserve your seat.
