September - October @ Art Works!

Join us at Art Works as we celebrate our 21st anniversary with a month filled with intriguing exhibits, and a lineup of events including the popular 4th Friday reception, artist meet-up, figure drawing sessions, and an artful scavenger hunt. Can't make it to an event? No worries, we are open daily (except Mondays) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for you to enjoy the new art on display. Convenient parking is available at the public garage on East 5th Street, and we'll validate your ticket. Extend your visit by exploring nearby restaurants like Stock, Continental, Pig and Brew, Jubilee, Iron Clad Pizza, Café Zata, and The Gold Lion for a delightful meal. Join us for a day of creativity, art, and delicious food! The fall art scene is buzzing with creativity and innovation as three talented artists showcase their solo exhibitions, each exploring unique themes like repetition, simple pleasures, and the ever-changing nature of life. Joshua Leland Yurges delves into the concept of everything that ever was and still is, Rebecca Visger captures the essence of enjoyment from snack food to charcuteries, and Crystal James reflects on embracing the present amidst life's constant evolution. Meanwhile, RJ Barber takes us on a thrilling journey with his exhibit, Alien Arrivals, offering a glimpse into interactions with extraterrestrial beings. Three long-time friends and colleagues, Tom Adair-Luke, Jim Brown, and Gregg Carbo present a retrospective of their work. Additionally, the monthly All Media Show promises a diverse and eclectic mix of topics, styles, and mediums. The exhibits continue through October 19, 2024, except for Joshua Leland Yurges’ show which continues through November 16, 2024. The event is free and open to the public. Don't forget, parking is also free. Come and join us for a night of art and celebration. Then have dinner at one of the restaurants in Manchester.
