The Tahoe Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra present Every Piece is a Classic, a winter concert series celebrating 21 years of artistic leadership under Maestro James Rawie. This inspiring program features Johann Sebastian Bach’s radiant Magnificat and Felix Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto in E minor, performed by guest soloist Kevin Matheson, violin. Bach’s Magnificat is a vibrant Baroque masterpiece filled with joyful choruses and brilliant orchestration. Mendelssohn’s concerto, one of the most cherished works in the violin repertoire, offers soaring melodies, passionate intensity, and virtuosic brilliance. Together, these masterworks promise an uplifting and unforgettable musical experience. All performances begin at 4:00pm: • Saturday, February 21 – Reno – St. Luke’s Lutheran Church • Sunday, February 22 – Incline Village – St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church • Saturday, February 28 – Minden – CVIC Hall • Sunday, March 1 – Reno – St. Rose of Lima Tickets: $30 General Admission; $40 Preferred; $50 Premium. Youth under 23 are free in general admission. Seniors receive $5 off in all seating areas. “Back Row” seating is free, with donations welcome.
