Join the African American Dance Ensemble as we celebrate our 40th Kwanzaa Festival. Kwanzaa is a joyful occasion for EVERYONE, emphasizing the significance of family, friends, and the richness of the earth. This festival honors the values of family, community, and culture, focusing on seven vital principles that establish the foundation for peace and progress in our neighborhoods.
Gather with us on January 1st to celebrate the principle of Imani, or Faith, at The Historic Durham Armory (212 Foster Street, Durham, NC). The doors will open to the public at 11:00 am, with performances commencing at 2:00 pm. Kwanzaa is free and accessible to all.
Kwanzaa Fest serves as both a marketplace for vendors and a performing arts concert, brimming with dance, music, poetry, and much more.
In honor of Baba Chuck Davis, donated canned goods and toiletries will be provided to a local non-profit organization.
