Wilbur site and Bliss house tour
The Judge Anthony Wilbur burial lot is a small family site that is the only family site in Newport that was established after 1800. The Wilbur family, originally from Tiverton, married members of the Peckham and Hazzard families, longtime Newport residents. The event will start with a brief history of the burial site and an explanation of recent stonework completed. The tour continues inside the John Bliss house, one of the oldest in the city.
