Deborah Sampson - A Revolution of Her Own
Celebrate America's 250th with "A Revolution of Her Own!" — an Immersive Living History performance from History At Play. Historian and actress Judith Kalaora portrays Deborah Sampson, the first woman to fight in and be honorably discharged from the American military, who disguised herself as a man to enlist in the 4th Massachusetts Regiment during the Revolutionary War. This event is free and open to all; no registration required, just walk in and enjoy! This event is made possible by the Friends of Westport Library.
