Valkyrie Productions Presents Sea Fever — A Spellbinding Summer Production at The Towers
On the eve of a gathering storm, Sea Fever tells the tale of the phantom ship Hesperus and its ill-fated captain, brought to life through a rich tapestry of classical song and New England folklore. Written by Rhode Island native and soprano Meghan Thomson, Sea Fever transforms The Towers into a 1760s tavern where stories are traded by sailors older than salt, and music stirs the heavy summer air. A blend of opera, myth, and immersive storytelling, this 90-minute production features a cast of young opera singers and string musicians in a performance both intimate and epic in scope.
Featuring music by Schubert, Vaughan Williams, Purcell, and more, Sea Fever invites audiences to step into a candle-lit world where love and legend remain long after the tide has turned. Perfect for fans of historic drama, live classical music, and the magic of a summer night by the sea.
