Hits and deep cuts make up the two and half hour performance. thejonicatshow.com videos and photos available here ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: OF HEART AND MIND- A Tribute to the Music of Joni Mitchell performed by NICOLE GAUTHIER Nicole Gauthier’s voice will melt your heart. For almost a decade, her captivating performances have brought joy to audiences throughout New England and beyond. She writes and performs solo as well as with her award winning, powerhouse, female vocal group, How’s About Charlie in styles from gentle folk to haunting heavy metal. Nicole was introduced to Joni’s music in her early twenties at a time when she felt like she needed guidance and found inspiration in the works. After listening to the album, “Clouds”, she decided that she needed to learn every song on the recording. It sparked a new love for playing guitar which she had been already playing for years. The strange, dissonant chords that Mitchell uses has influenced Gauthier’s own writing style. She now accompanies herself on guitar, ukulele or dulcimer to cover these classic songs live, in a tribute that brings audiences to their feet and has them singing along. CATMOONSHADOW- A Tribute to the Music of Cat Stevens performed by JOHN FUZEK Back in the mid 70’s when John was learning to play guitar, one of the first songs he was taught was Cat Steven’s version of “Morning Has Broken”. Cat Stevens was very popular in the 1970’s and was an early influence on Fuzek’s music. Now, John has been performing either solo, in a duo or band, for over 35 years. As a solo performer he has released many recordings, won awards, and shared the bill with artists such as Judi Collins, Paula Cole, Kevin Bacon, Steve Forbert and many others. His duo Fuzek-Rossoni also released recordings, won awards and shared the stage with performers such as Noel Paul Stookey, Richie Havens, Tom Rush, River Phoenix and many others. He formed the Neil Young tribute band, Forever Young in 2006 and they have been performing at prestigious venues around the northeast for the past 18 years. They have also won multiple awards and sold out many shows. Music is in Fuzek. He brings decades of experience to every show he performs. Whether it’s solo, duo, or in a band and playing his own music or covering others, Fuzek pours his heart and soul into every song. Many have compared John’s voice to Cat Steven’s which is what initially inspired him to create this project. His love of the music solidified the choice.
