Funky Cat Five to jazz up The Shepherd Center
Returning to The Shepherd Center after a sensational and packed first performance, Funky Cat amps it up with the addition of world class trumpeter and longtime band mate from the Heavy Metal Horns, Garret Savluk. Fans and musicians especially will relish this high energy celebration of trumpet and guitar greats from the Golden Age of jazz and rock!
Set 1 will showcase the instrumental jazz and funk hits of Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown, Dizzy and Miles as well as George Benson, Grant Green, and Wes Montgomery. Set 2 climaxes in a thrilling romp through the best of blues rock legends Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix and Santana. Tickets are $20 online, $25 at the door.
