Songs of the American Theatre

Not only an actor and lyric soprano who gave more than 100 concerts in the USA and abroad, she was also a formidable supporter of the newly formed Bristol Arts Museum in the 1960s and 70s. We are delighted to welcome two Boston-based cabaret singers, Francis Gardner and Tristyn Sepersky, who will be joining our own Cara Massey. With expert accompanist Samantha Prindiville, they will dazzle with songs from Broadway that span the 1920s to the 1970s, inspired by Ethel’s 1974 benefit concert for the Bristol Art Museum, billed as “Songs of the American Theatre” and given in the Colt School Auditorium in Bristol. Tickets are $20 for Linden Place members and $25 for general admission. Francis Garner is a cabaret artist who has appeared on stages in Boston (Club Cafe,) Provincetown, New Bedford and New York City (Don’t Tell Mama, PANGEA.) Critic John Amodeo of CabaretScenes calls him “one of the Boston-area’s most promising performers.” Tristyn Sepersky is a Boston Conservatory/Berklee graduate specializing in musical theater performance. She is a member of the Concord Players in Massachusetts and has appeared with the Theatre Company of Saugus and The Moonstruck Theater Company. Cara Massey has a BS in opera performance from Hofstra University with additional study at Westminster Choir College and the Florence Voice Seminar. She has performed in opera, musical theater, and as a soloist across the Northeast. Samantha Prindiville is a music director, accompanist, vocal coach and teacher, working for various theaters, cabarets, charity benefits and music and theater education programs around the New England and NYC region since 2005. Currently, Samantha is the choral director and music/theater teacher at Wilmington Middle School, and the artistic director for the Wilmington Middle School and Wilmington High School Theater Programs.
