Bike Month Launch on the Bike Path!
Join Bike Newport and RIPTA Consumer Resources to kick off May as Bike Month!
– Enjoy breakfast refreshments and pick up free bike-commuter swag (t-shirts, pant-leg cuffs, flashing lights, etc.)
– Sign up for the DRIVE LESS RI ride-tracking app—track your carbon savings and find bike-buddies!
– At 9 AM, we’ll embark on the first group ride on the new Aquidneck Island Greenway shared-use path. Bells provided!
Schedule of Activities:
7:30-9:00am :
– Breakfast refreshments
– RIPTA Swag for Bike Commuters – tshirts, backpacks, pant leg cuffs, flashing lights, and more
– Sign up for the ride tracker “DRIVE LESS RI“
9:00am:
– The first group ride on the new Shared Use Path!
– We’ll have bike bells at the event for those who need them. A basic necessity for courtesy on bikes 🔔
– We’ll ride together north on the path to West Main Road, then we’ll turn around and ride back to the south end of the path at the Newport Transit Center.
