New group exhibit at Imago offers glimpses into the artist’s journey

Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is hosting a new group exhibition from Feb. 12 – Mar. 21 that provides glimpses into the artist’s journey at IMAGO Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren, RI. The exhibition features work by IFA exhibiting artist Lenny Rumpler, spotlight IFA exhibiting artist Howard Rotblat-Walker and guest artist Jordan Fullaway as well as other IFA artists. A public reception for all the artists will be held on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m. with musical accompaniment provided by David Hanssen and Karl Dennis. Rumpler’s artwork in this exhibition at Imago Gallery includes examples of several phases of his life-long photographic journey -- florals and still life, architecture and nature, including both color and black-and-white photographs that speak to his love of learning and constant search for new subjects and techniques. Roblat-Walker’s work includes two of his first 3-D plates printed with patterns from his 2-D work exploring a world of complex geometric possibilities. And, Fullaway’s large-scale portraits are shaped by intuition and exaggeration, where personal myth and ancient forms give structure to distinct internal selves.
