Beginner-level film workshop focuses on theme of 'interiors'
Building on the success of its first filmmaking workshop in October and its monthly Film Club, Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is offering a second beginning-level filmmaking workshop at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 28.
Participants will join Imago filmmaker Katherine Reaves in an exploration of mis-en-scène--set-design, costuming and make-up-- as the group explores the theme of “interiors.”
Designed for those 18 years of age and above, Imago’s film workshops introduce the aspiring filmmaker to the basics of film language through practice and doing. Workshops require a smartphone or camera capable of taking video, plus enthusiasm and curiosity. Participants should know how to take a selfie and work their phone or camera.
The goal is to enable you to take this experience with you to your own projects and provide a starting point to learn more. Although designed for beginners, experienced filmmakers are also welcome.
