Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy will host Presidents Day Winterfest 2026, a family-friendly holiday event, on Monday, February 16, 2026.
Various shows including a Musical Review, Trailside Animals, Magic and Puppet shows will take place throughout the afternoon from noon – 5:30 p.m. inside Quincy City Hall and the Church of the Presidents:
● Making Magic Costume Character Musical Performances will take place at 12:00pm, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. in the 1st floor Chamber Room of Old Town Hall.
● Blue Hills Trailside Museum’s Birds of Prey will take place in Old Town Hall lower level. Shows will be held at 12:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m. & 3:45 p.m.
● Magic by George! shows will be at 12:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m. & 3:45 p.m. in the Church of the Presidents. The audience will enter through the main door.
● Big Joe the Storyteller Puppet Show will take place in the back chamber of the Church of the Presidents. The audience will enter through the side door. Show times are 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.
Each show is 45 minutes. All events are free to the public and no tickets are necessary.
Seating will be on a first come first served basis with limited seating for some of the
shows. Doors will open 15 minutes before each event.
Outdoors on the Hancock Adams Common, fire shows will take place between 2:30 pm –
5:30 p.m. Ice sculptures of John Adams and John Quincy Adams will be on display as
well as a live ice sculpting demonstration. There will be firepits to gather around and hot
cocoa served.
