Sam Allerton Green is a landscape painter based in Providence, Rhode Island, whose work delves into the nuanced elements of New England’s diverse landscapes. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Sam has cultivated a unique artistic voice that merges vibrant abstraction with a grittier perspective. Working primarily in oil, Sam’s paintings emphasize large shapes of color that capture both the serene and the overlooked elements of the landscape. He often focuses on the parts of the environment that the eye tends to overlook—the not-so-scenic details we quickly move past.
