4th Annual Ladybug Trail Spring Walk

The day centers around Franklin’s unique Ladybug Cultural & Historical Trail — a self-guided walk through the downtown Cultural District where visitors search for 2-foot-wide fiberglass ladybug sculptures tucked among buildings. The sculptures connect historical and cultural sites along Main Street and Route 140, turning this simple walk into a scavenger hunt. Ladybug-themed activities will be at Dean College, Franklin Public Library, Franklin Historical Museum and The Children’s Museum of Franklin. Along the way, stop into shops and restaurants for ladybug-themed food & drinks, discounts, games, activities, & photo opportunities. Explore the art gallery in the alleys where local artists have transformed the space into an outdoor art exhibit. Get your trail map at Franklin Historical Museum (80 West Central Street), Franklin Public Library (118 Main Street), or Ferrara’s Market (20 West Central Street). The map is your guide to the hidden sculptures. The Children’s Museum of Franklin at 157 Cottage Street will have music and a ladybug craft. The museum opened last September and brought the Zentangle Ladybug out from hibernation. Begin as early as 9 a.m. at the Historical Museum. Stroll throughout the day at a relaxed pace — with plenty of opportunities to shop, grab coffee, have lunch or dinner at a mix of new and longtime downtown favorites. The Ladybug Trail Spring Walk is a relaxed, family-friendly way to celebrate spring while discovering the history, art, and shops that make Franklin unique.
