In partnership with the Museum of Newport Irish History, Fort Adams Trust presents a special public lecture as part of the RI250 commemoration, supported in part by the Rhode Island Semiquincentennial Commission.
“From Revolution to Ramparts” explores the critical—and often overlooked—role of Irish and Irish-American individuals in the American Revolution, with a unique focus on Rhode Island and Fort Adams. Featuring historian Christian McBurney, this program connects Revolutionary-era history with the lived experiences of the laborers, soldiers, and craftsmen who helped shape both the nation and the Fort itself.
