The Bristol Art Museum will host an artist talk titled, Cross Currents: How Artists Inspire One Another, featuring the five artists of the Museum’s current exhibit Confluence, on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Museum.
The Artists Talk offers visitors a unique opportunity to hear directly from the exhibit’s artists (Featuring artists Sandra Kunhardt Basile, Dwo Wen Chen, Nancy Gaucher-Thomas, Eileen McCarney Muldoon, and Mimo Gordon Riley) whose practices span painting, photography, ceramics, and mosaic.
“This Artist Talk invites the community to experience Confluence in a more personal and revealing way,” said Mary Dondero, Curator and Board Member. “Visitors are encouraged to ask questions, offer observations, and engage directly with the artists in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We invite art lovers, students, and the general public to join the conversation and discover how collaboration, influence, and curiosity fuel artistic growth.”
During the program, each artist will share the stories behind their work, including moments of discovery, artistic shifts, unexpected challenges, and the materials and processes that shape their practice. The discussion will highlight how their approaches intersect and diverge, revealing the creative dialogue at the heart of the exhibition.
General admission is $5 (cash preferred); Museum members and students are admitted free.
