DAVID HULL is a multi-instrumentalist, bassist, composer and recording artist who commenced his extraordinary and versatile career on stage and in the studio as anchor of the Buddy Miles Band when he was still in his teens, touring the world and playing on a series of historic recordings, including the Gold classic, “Them Changes”.
On October 1, 1970, Hull performed at an impromptu show after the funeral of Jimi Hendrix. Hull joined Buddy Miles, Johnny Winter, Charlie Karp, Billy Cox, Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding in a memorable live performance. He is a co-founder of the original Connecticut rock ensemble The Dirty Angels.
In 1979 David joined forces with Aerosmith powerhouse Joe Perry, recording a series of groundbreaking albums as the original Joe Perry Project, and touring internationally. He then went on to perform worldwide as the co-founder of the famed Boston band, Farrenheit, gaining national attention as a favorite of the MTV television explosion. He has toured with Joe Cocker and recorded with Ted Nugent among many others. Subsequently he stepped in as musical director and bassist for The James Montgomery Blues Band. In 2006, David Hull secured his status as a rock legend after being chosen by the band Aerosmith as their bass player for three world tours, filling in for Tom Hamilton.
David now revisits his roots in a new edition of David Hull and The Dirty Angels along with guitarist Pete Cassani and drummer Steve Hart, electrifying Boston musicians who hail from the Indie, Pop, Punk Phenom group, The Peasants.
