VANCOUVER MALL TO CONNECT THE COMMUNITY WITH LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES

Vancouver Mall, a lifestyle shopping center providing shopping, dining, entertainment and a host of services to residents of Southwest Washington and the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area (www.ShopVancouverMall.com), in cooperation with its tenants, has launched a month-long Mental Health Awareness campaign to support psychological wellbeing and to provide a safe space where kindness, conversation and connection are always in style. As part of this awareness-building effort, the center has invited the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to host two pop-up resource tables. The first pop-up table will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 10th, and the second will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th. On both dates, the tables will be located in the center’s MyPerks Lounge. During these times, NAMI representatives will share information on the programs they have available, provide people with other mental health service resources, information about community support groups, and additional ways they can get help for themselves or their loved ones. Additionally, throughout the entire month of May, dozens of Vancouver Mall retailers will display a green ribbon window cling, mental health awareness information (with a link to resources) at their registers, a positive mental wellness message in their windows, or additional green décor in their window displays. These visual cues will serve as a reminder that help and support can be found everywhere. To learn more about Vancouver Mall’s Mental Health Awareness campaign, visit https://bit.ly/42VKFWL.
