The Tesla City Stories - Live Vintage Radio Theater Onstage - Fri., June 12

The Tesla City Stories is a live serialized 1944 radio theater onstage show featuring comedy, drama, chills, romance, drinks, eats, prizes, Foley sound FX, music. Unique! June brings the summer sun but also some vintage fun as The Tesla City Stories returns to the Old Church Concert Hall for a mix of comedy and action! One of the more unusual crossovers in the TBC’s archives starts with an episode of The Off-Key Life of Viola Harper entitled “The Big Broadcast of 1944.” For reasons best not spoiled, daffy sitcom heroine Viola is cooped up in her apartment for a spell when she begins to suspect her new neighbor is secretly a Nazi spy! Is he, or does Viola just have too much time on her hands? All will be revealed, quite quickly in fact, as we will also be presenting.... Tesla City’s number-one secret agent Osprey-6 returns and this time he’s in Viola Harper’s neck of the woods. For (some mighty familiar) reasons best not spoiled, the Office of Special Protocols becomes aware of immigrant scientist Isidore Goopchik - but so have the Axis powers who wouldn’t mind utilizing the self-made genius for their own goals. Trace “Osprey-6” Allen’s new mission for Aunt Samantha: protect Goopchik at all costs in an episode called “Wardenclyffe Diver!” Special musical guest: The Newport Nightingales That’s all happening Friday June 12th, 7:30 PM, at Portland’s Old Church Concert Hall. Tickets are on sale now!
