HARDCOVER BOOK BINDING AT AR WORKSHOP HILLSBORO!
Japanese Stab Binding is a beautiful and versatile hand-sewn binding style that makes an excellent choice for poetry collections, short stories, journals, and treasured printed or scrapbook materials. In this beginner-friendly class, participants will learn the fundamentals of traditional Japanese stab binding while creating a small hard-cover book approximately 4x5 inches in size. Unlike many traditional soft-cover stab-bound books, this project features sturdy hard covers with a functional hinge for added durability and ease of use. Students will sew their books by hand and personalize their projects by selecting their own cover color and decorative endpaper design. All materials are provided, and no prior bookbinding experience is necessary.
