THE CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT PRESENTS LITTLE WOMEN, THE BROADWAY MUSICAL.

Produced nationally and internationally, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love. The Centennial High School production of Little Women opens May 1st and runs through May 10th. Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. For Centennial High School’s production, Kellie McCarty directs and choreographs, Morgan DeLange is music director, Bree Theilacker conducts, with Angel Morgan, Technical Director and Marychris Mass, Costumer. The cast is led by Senior Audrey De La Paz as Jo, Junior Nicole Allen as Beth, Junior Aly Fuller as Meg, Sophomore Alia Stout as Amy, and Freshman Aranza Aguirre Reyna as Marmee, along with a talented group of Freshman through Seniors filling out the other roles. Little Women performances run at the Centennial High School Auditorium, 3505 SE 182nd Avenue, Gresham, OR 97030. The show is rated PG and is appropriate for all ages.
