Academy String Quartet with Linda Fisher, Bassoon
Join the Academy String Quartet for an afternoon concert at Zion’s Lutheran Church, a stunning space with soaring ceilings, stained glass, and bright, open air.
The program features Haydn’s lively Rider Quartet, Part 2 of Thomas Roncevic’s Bulgarian Suite, and a vibrant Allegro for bassoon and strings by Philadelphia Orchestra’s longtime principal bassoonist, Bernard Garfield.
The second half highlights Mozart’s Duo in G major for violin and viola and Devienne’s Quartet in C major for bassoon and strings, showcasing the bassoon in a starring role.
