Srikanth Reddy: "Poetry of the Underworld"
If you love Dante, Ovid, the Mahābhārata, or other literature of the afterlife, Reddy is the poet for you! His Underworld Lit (2000)—a TLS Book of the Year and finalist for the Griffin International Poetry Prize—offers a modern take of Dante’s Inferno in the form of an English professor’s “multiverse quest through various cultures’ realms of the dead.” Books will be available for sale by our friends at City of Asylum Bookstore. The event is free for all students, educators, and school or library staff/volunteers. Tickets for the general public at $10.
