South Side Winterfest
South Side is lighting the neighborhood holiday tree and illuminating Bedford Square for an evening of all-ages winter wonder from 3pm-7pm.
Here Comes Santa Claus!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in style on the 15203 Fire Engine to light the tree and kick off the spirited season. Make it memorable and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Santa Lounge at Club Cafe for Free photos!
Celebrate in the Square!
Sip local at a pop-up beer garden by Velum Fermentation, groove to live music courtesy of the newly reopened Club Cafe and sing along with Pittsburgh singer-songwriters, make gorgeous snowflakes with the Brewhouse Artists, get crafty with SouthSide Kids, take in the wonder of ice sculpture art, and enjoy the flavors of South Side with bites from festive food trucks and food stands. Participating food vendors include: Streets on Carson, La Palapa, Cilantro & Ajo, Doce Taqueria, Standing Wave Coffee, and more!
Make a list, check it twice!
Shop local for everyone on your list at the South Side Winter Market featuring local artisans, makers, and bakers. The Winter Market will be popping up on 12th Street.
Ho-Ho-Ho!
Dress in your festive finest, ugly sweaters, or Santa-inspired gear and the best dressed reveler will win over $500 in prizes during Winter Fest in Bedford Square, courtesy of South Side’s shops & restaurants.
Make it Merry...at the Afterparty!
THEN, make your merry way down Carson Street to participating shops & restaurants where you'll receive exclusive extras, freebies, and more when you visit from 7pm-10pm dressed in your festive finest. The Santa Stroll provides a digital map of participants and a choose-your-own adventure spirit! Choose one or visit them all!
Be sure to capture some photos on your Santa Stroll and when you post them to Instagram, tag @carsonstreetpgh. 3 winners will be chosen to receive stockings full of prizes from area businesses.
Winterfest is free to attend and is an all-ages event. Food and drink will be sold on-site. You must be 21+ to access the beer garden, valid ID required!
