Celebrates Thrift Store 2nd Anniversary Bash with Community Vendors, Raffles, Rescue Dogs & Family Fun GREENSBURG, PA — Cross Your Paws Rescue and the Cross Your Paws Thrift Store are inviting the community to celebrate two years of saving dogs and supporting local rescue efforts during their 2nd Anniversary Bash, taking place: Friday, May 8, 2026 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2026 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Cross Your Paws Thrift Store. The two-day celebration will feature a massive sidewalk sale starting Friday and Saturday local vendors, raffle baskets, adoptable rescue dogs, food, children’s activities, community partners, and special guests — all benefiting the organization’s mission of rescuing and rehoming dogs throughout the Pittsburgh region. As a 100% volunteer-run and operated foster-based rescue, Cross Your Paws Rescue founded in 2018 relies on community support, adoptions, fundraising events, and thrift store proceeds to continue helping dogs of all ages, breeds, and medical needs. “We are incredibly grateful for the support our community has shown over the last two years,” said Brad Martin, Event Coordinator for Cross Your Paws Rescue & Thrift Store. “This event is not only a celebration of how far we’ve come, but also a way to bring the community together while raising critical funds to continue saving lives.” Event Highlights Include: Huge outdoor sidewalk sale with discounts throughout the store Gift basket raffles and giveaways Local vendors and small businesses Adoptable rescue dogs Kids crafts and family activities Hot dogs and baked goods Low-cost DHPP & Rabies vaccine clinic $10 nail trims from Doolittle’s Pet Services Coffee from The Roaming Bean Coffee Truck Wellness and Reiki services from The Drifting Sanctuary Special appearances on Saturday will include the Greensburg Fire Department Bloodhound Team and K9 Rio from the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, a certified cadaver detection and water recovery K9 handled by John Ackerman. The organization also thanked numerous sponsors and community supporters who helped make the event possible through donations, sponsorships, raffle baskets, and supplies.
