The Bar Expands into Uptown Phoenix Late February 2025
The Bar, the popular bar and restaurant concept with a location in the Arcadia neighborhood, is expanding into Uptown Phoenix. The new location at 5504 N. 7th Ave. will feature an energetic and playful vibe sure to conjure up late-90s-to-early-2000s nostalgia for guests. The Bar Uptown is set to open its doors later this month, bringing outstanding food, ice-cold drinks, a plethora of games and entertainment, and a loaded event schedule to the area.
“Due to the success and popularity of The Bar Arcadia, we wanted to bring something similar yet uniquely its own to our diners in Uptown Phoenix,” said Owner Frank Vairo. “We are excited to present the neighborhood with a place to eat, drink, play, interact and just have a really great time in a welcoming and inviting space.”
The Bar Uptown features 2,800 square feet in which to do just that. The main dining room features a massive bar, ample seating, dartboards and a pool table; vibrant artistic murals and endless CDs adorn the walls, and a black-lit game room features everything from Skee-Ball and video golf to Big Buck Hunter and a classic claw machine.
The Bar Uptown will feature DJs spinning tunes on the weekends, dart and pool tournaments, karaoke, bingo and trivia nights, and more. A few carry overs from the Arcadia location, such as Dollar Wing Night, will also be featured at The Bar Uptown.
In addition to a similar menu as The Bar Arcadia—including award-winning wings, scrumptious sharables like potato skins and Wisconsin cheese curds, salad options and an array of tempting handhelds and burgers—the Smashburger will be the star of the show at The Bar Uptown.
Guests can enjoy a full bar as well as signature house cocktails inspired by popular favorites from the Arcadia location, created by in-house mixologist Ella Perez.
Weekly food and drink specials will be offered in addition to everyday features. Happy hour specials include $2 off drafts, $2 off full-size appetizers, $7 Tito’s, $7 glasses of wine, $5 well drinks, $6 Four Roses, $7 “Jamos” and $7 house mules.
The Bar Uptown will be open daily from noon to 2 a.m. Happy hour takes place Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. For more, visit bph.group/the-bar.
