Camp Taliesin West: Photographing Wright with Photographer Andrew Pielage

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s popular Camp Taliesin West returns this summer with a dynamic lineup of camp experiences for young learners to explore architecture, science, engineering, art and photography at Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic Scottsdale home and studio. This daily camp from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. is set against the backdrop of Taliesin West and the Sonoran Desert, this camp introduces students to the art and technical skills of photography. Under the guidance of professional photographer Andrew Pielage, campers will learn how to use DSLR cameras, including aperture, shutter speed and ISO, while developing an eye for composition, light and shadow. Students must provide their own fully manual camera and corresponding USB cable. It is highly encouraged that students provide their own laptops for photograph editing. This camp is recommended for ages 12-17. This is a half-day camp.
