MeHug's 9th Annual Máraton de Dar: A Day of Community, Compassion, and Support
The most significant charitable event in the valley's Latino community is just around the corner! MeHug's 9th Annual Maratón de Dar (Giving Marathon) is centered around the slogan “Todos tenemos algo que dar” (We all have something to give) and unites the community to support those in need.
This year’s Maratón de Dar, supported by Verizon Small Business Digital Ready, encourages attendees to donate toys, clothing, shoes, or contribute through blood and hair donations. The event will also support Blessings From Above, a cause led by Sebastian Aguilar that benefits children battling cancer.
In addition to the donations, the day will feature live music, activities for children, and informational sessions from over 15 nonprofit organizations. These sessions will raise awareness about various community programs and offer ways for people to stay engaged in charitable efforts year-round.
A special highlight will be a visit from Santa Claus at 2 p.m., spreading holiday cheer to children and families. More than 20 causes will benefit from the community's generous contributions. MeHug invites everyone to join this festive, empowering day of giving. With over 8 hours of celebration and connection, the Maratón de Dar offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the spirit of the season.
