The Franciscan Vision of St. Francis of Assisi in Dialogue with Buddhism
A program presented in partnership with the Franciscan School of Theology
The talk will explore theological and philosophical themes that resonate int both Francis’s spiritual reflections and Buddhist teachings, while also highlighting key distinctions between them. It will focus particularly on Francis’ Second Admonition and the Buddhist doctrine of the Four Noble Truths.
Program will be presented in the Serra Room in Piper Hall.
