Food as Medicine presentation at plant-based potluck in Surprise, AZ


Bring your favorite plant-based dish and a printed or written recipe to share. (Plant-based means only plants, no animal products, so no meat, fish, or dairy.) If you don’t have time or aren't sure what to make, please still come to connect with others! No cost. Donations are welcome to help with speaker’s materials and transportation. Dr. Ugonna Woods is a pediatrician in Phoenix, Arizona and has been practicing for the past 21 years at a local community hospital and clinic. Dr. Woods entered medical school directly from high school and completed her Bachelors and Medical degree in six years, graduating as one of the youngest African American females to graduate from medical school in the United States. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, she completed her pediatric residency at St Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She loves her job and considers it a privilege to serve her patients and show them God's love. She currently is a clinical lead at a Phoenix Community Health Center and is the Health ministry director for the Arizona conference. She also enjoys being one of the area coordinators for the Arizona adventurer club. In her free time she spends time at her country home with her three boys and loves to be involved with her church's youth groups, hike, cook and travel the world on various mission trips. She is anxiously awaiting the Lord’s very soon return.
