Activities include: Chompie’s Love Story Campaign As part of its anniversary celebration, Chompie’s is launching its Love Story campaign, which honors this milestone through memory sharing and community. Guests at all Chompie’s locations are encouraged to share their personal Chompie’s “love stories,” using custom-designed postcards and in-store mailboxes. Each month, one featured story will be selected to appear on Chompie’s social media and the grand prize winner will receive a year’s supply of bagels. This contest takes place throughout 2026. Aptly, the grand prize winner will be selected on Friday, Jan. 15, 2027, which is National Bagel Day. Tip-A-Cop March 28 | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests can join members of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) Council and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office as they trade their badges for aprons. All tips and proceeds raised will benefit the Special Olympics of Arizona, which provides high-quality care, service and competition for Arizona’s athletes. Speed Painting and Live Music March 28 | 11: a.m. to 1 p.m. Original mural artist Randall Hedden will perform a live speed-painting of John Lennon and the Statue of Liberty on the patio. As he paints, he will share his own “Love Story” with Chompie’s and his history of creating the deli’s iconic murals. The performance will be accompanied by an acoustic guitarist playing a set of Beatles classics. Art for a Cause 1 p.m. Following his speed-painting performance, Hedden will host a signing session. Limited-edition merchandise will be available for purchase at the Scottsdale and Phoenix locations through February 9, 2027, including: Mural Postcard Sets — A collection of 10 cards featuring Chompie’s most popular in-store murals. Limited Edition Prints — 12x18 inch professional prints of iconic Chompie’s artwork. A portion of all proceeds from these art sales will be donated to the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. “Chompie’s has been a part of Arizona’s story for 47 years,” said Alan Watts, Chompie’s president. “This campaign and our partnership with the Special Olympics and the arts community is our way of giving that love back to the people who have sustained us.” A representative for Chompie’s is available for news story interviews and live television segments during which they can showcase an array of Chompie’s classic dishes that have kept guests coming back for 47 years and counting!
