Get ready for a rootin'-tootin’ celebration of Black excellence, entrepreneurship, and sisterhood at the 2025 Boss Baby Youth Empowerment & Financial Literacy Showcase, hosted by the Pretty Precise Step Team and The American Legion.
This year’s theme, Black Rodeo, brings Western flair with rodeo-themed décor, performances, and activities that honor the rich history and contributions of Black cowboys and cowgirls.
The event features:
Youth Entrepreneur Showcase – Local and visiting young business owners sharing their creations and ideas.
Step & Dance Showdown – High-energy routines from teams across Arizona and beyond.
Financial Literacy Workshops – Real-world money tips for youth and families.
Drumline & Drill Team Processional – A high-powered opening to kick things off.
Family Fun Zone – Bounce house, portable skating rink, Boss Baby characters, and more.
Western-Themed Surprises – Cowboy hats encouraged!

You’ve seen it on Keith Lee’s viral food tour of Arizona—now taste what everyone’s been talking about. Pretty Precise’s famous Sisterhood Lemonade will be available for purchase. Don’t leave without a bottle or two or more!

This event is more than a performance—it's a movement. Boss Baby empowers youth through business ownership, creative expression, and financial literacy. But due to recent political shifts, Pretty Precise has lost critical grant funding, making community support more vital than ever.

Founded during the pandemic in 2020 by Lateka Curtis and Cheyanne James, Pretty Precise empowers girls ages 7–17 through step, mentorship, education, and sisterhood. The team is known for their creative edge, anti-bullying mission, and commitment to keeping youth safe, active and seen.
