Kids, big and small, will have the opportunity to interact with large vehicles such as firetrucks, earth movers, dump trucks, backhoes, excavators, and bucket truck. Touch-A-Truck is being held at Pleasant Harbor, located on the southeastern shores of Lake Pleasant on February 28 from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The event is FREE. However, there is a $9.00 entrance fee per vehicle.
Touch-A-Truck affords kids the unique opportunity to climb on their favorite oversized vehicles, without parent reprimand. In addition to the large vehicles on-hand, this interactive event features food trucks, DJ, and a kids’ sand lot with toy trucks.
“Touch-A-Truck is a sensory experience on overdrive,” said Deneen Ramirez, activities director at Pleasant Harbor. “Kids will be able to be hands-on and explore a wide variety of large vehicles.”
Pleasant Harbor (www.pleasantharbor.com) is open to the public 365 days a year, featuring boat, sail and Jet Ski rentals, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing, boat and R/V sales, Pleasant Harbor Waterpark including H2-Whoa!, the valley’s largest floating waterslide, The Phoenix boat cruise, slip rentals and storage, as well as a full-service RV resort with 253 spaces, featuring a clubhouse, store, heated pool and Jacuzzi.
From the Phoenix area, Pleasant Harbor is the closest entrance to Lake Pleasant, conveniently located off Carefree Highway and 87th Avenue (8708 W. Harbor Boulevard, Peoria, AZ 85383). Visitors exiting I-17, travel west on Carefree Highway, or take North 99th Avenue/North Lake Pleasant Parkway from Bell Road to Carefree Highway and then west to 87th Avenue and then onto Harbor Boulevard.
