On Sunday, Dec. 14, the city of Scottsdale presents two new events as part of its Scottsdazzle holiday extravaganza:
Wrapped in Tradition: Holiday Tamales
Sunday, Dec. 14 | 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Marshall Way Bridge
Cost: $25
Presented by Maria Corral of Los Olivos Mexican Patio, this course shares the art of holiday tamale-making. Guests will learn time-honored techniques passed down through generations — from preparing the masa and savory fillings to assembling and steaming. Experience family stories and hands-on participation while enjoying tastings of freshly made tamales with traditional holiday pairings.
Holiday Dueling Pianos on the Bridge
Sunday, Dec. 14 |1-4 p.m.
Marshall Way Bridge
Cost: Free to attend
After learning the art of tamale making, enjoy some holiday-themed dueling piano entertainment amid the beautifully decorated Marshall Way Bridge. Mikey and Fouad — who have been performing together for eight years as an all-request dueling piano duo — will face off with a variety of songs, including holiday music, surrounded by stunning holiday lights and cheerful vibes.
These new experiences are complemented by Scottsdazzle’s complete lineup of popular signature events and merchant-hosted experiences throughout the city of Scottsdale. See the entire Scottsdazzle calendar of events and register at https://scottsdazzle.com/.
