Join Arizona author Adena J. Bernstein for a special book signing and meet-and-greet celebrating her newest book, Stolen Legacies: The Fight for Nazi-Looted Art.
In this compelling new work, Bernstein explores one of the largest state-sponsored thefts in history—the systematic looting of art and cultural property by the Nazis during World War II—and the ongoing efforts by families, historians, and governments to recover what was stolen. Drawing on history, law, and powerful personal stories, Stolen Legacies examines how restitution efforts continue today and why preserving these stories remains so important.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the author, learn about the inspiration behind the book, and purchase signed copies. Bernstein is also the author of the award-winning memoir Living among the Dead, which tells the story of her grandmother’s survival during the Holocaust.
This relaxed community event will take place at The Orchard Phoenix. While attending, guests are encouraged to grab a coffee, snack, or meal from Luci’s at the Orchard, a charming, dog-friendly, fresh breakfast/brunch restaurant popular restaurant located right on the property, and enjoy the beautiful setting while meeting the author.
Whether you are interested in history, art, justice, or powerful personal stories, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the author and learn more about the global effort to return stolen cultural heritage.
